When Pam and Rick began dating, she was extremely flattered whenever Rick acted jealous. She thought it was sweet when he called her seven or eight times a day, “just to check on her.” She liked him and everything about him.  He was a prominent lawyer and very popular among the city’s elite.  She felt special because he had chosen her to be his girl.

However, she became uneasy when she came home from a dinner engagement with a group of girlfriends and saw him sitting across the street from her house stooped down in his car.  When she walked over, he told her that he had just pulled up and was hoping she was home.

She became even more alarmed when she spotted him following her at the mall one day while she was shopping with her mother.  She confronted him and ended the relationship on the spot.

Three months later, he attacked and stabbed her as she was leaving work.  As he ran from the scene, he was hit by a truck while crossing the street.  She survived…but he didn’t.
