What Would You Do?

A Focus Group Of Men And Women Were Asked What Would They Do In The Following Scenarios…

by Lisa Cregier

You see your ex-boyfriend and the woman he left you for approaching and there’s no place to duck?

“I would smile and keep walking.”

“I would act as if I didn’t see them.”

“I would give him a murderous look, so he couldn’t sleep that night.  A man would rather see hurt or pain in a woman’s eyes than hate.”

“I would speak to him pleasantly, and look him in the eye, so he would know I could care less, even if I did.”

“I would turn around and go back the other way to avoid any contact whatsoever.”

The most unattractive woman at a party asks you to dance.

“I would pretend to have a sore foot.”

“I would say I’m with someone.”

“I would claim I didn’t know how to dance.”

“I would dance.”

“I would dance!  What’s a dance?  It’s not a proposal of marriage.”

The most unattractive man at the party asks you to dance.

“I dance and act as if I’m flattered by the request.  A man’s looks have nothing with his dancing ability.”

“I like to dance and I could care less about how he looks.”

“I probably wouldn’t, because I would assume that he asked me to dance because he wanted to get to know me.”

“I would dance, compelled by my compassion.  I would not want to offer rejection to such a simple request.  The man’s looks would be irrelevant.”

You are standing talking with friends when suddenly you feel a grab on your backside.  You turn around in anger and come face to face with the most handsome man you’ve ever seen, who is apologizing profusely for mistaking you for someone else.”

“I’d smile and slap his face.”

“I would snap off!  I’d probably be too angry to notice his looks.”

“I would accept the apology and admonish him by telling him that gentlemen don’t grab women in such an impolite way and suggest he take some night courses on public greeting techniques.”

“If I thought he was sincere, I’d forgive him.  But he would have to react to my looks, not vice versa.”

You’re at a party and a woman walks up and introduces herself as your fiance’s girlfriend.

“I wouldn’t listen.”

“I would show her my ring and ask for hers.”

“I would get all the details and then set him up on the phone with her.”

“Girlfriends have no status to me, I would keep walking.”
