The “S” Man – The Guys Who Got It…Know It

Who is The “S’ Man? He has a quiet assurance.  A suave confidence, if you will and a mystical presence which lends him a special quality.  Though, sometimes the power of this very manly presence is absolutely silent.  The guy with the “S” quality which encompasses Sexy, Swag and Solid stands out in the crowd.  He knows how to treat a woman and he can be counted on to do it.  Believe it or not, there are a number of these guys out there looking to make a real connection with the right woman.  You’ve just got to be in the right place at the right time.  And you never know where that place may be, which is illustrated in the following examples:

Gabrielle – “I was running late for a flight through the airport like a wild woman, when I skidded into this guy and almost knocked him down with my stewardess cart.  However, though rushed, I still noticed how fine he was.  I apologized profusely, but kept flying.  Ten minutes later, I almost fainted when I saw him boarding the same flight.  He smiled when he passed by me, but didn’t say a word.  However, after we were in the air, he came back and sat in the empty seat next to me, and we talked the whole flight.  It turned out he was a cardiologist with a great sense of humor, on his way to a medical convention.  We went to the dinner later that evening and I was impressed.  I live in Chicago and he lived in Houston.  When he sent me a ticket the following weekend to return to Houston, I knew it was destiny.  We got engaged a year later.”

Pam – “I met my “S” Man when I was out alone one night in a restaurant after being stood up and saw this very attractive guy sitting alone at another table.  After ten minutes of courage gathering, I decided to be bold.  I felt good about how I looked and my attitude was, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.  I went over to his table, and asked if he would mind (since he was alone) escorting me to my car because my dinner appointment had called and cancelled.  He quickly stood and said, “It’s what I was born to do.  However, since you haven’t had dinner yet, why don’t you join me?”  With a surprised look on my face and with a fraction of hesitation, as if it were the farthest thing from my mind, I slowly answered “Sure.”  A year later, we’re still together and have since traveled all over the world.”

Kim – “I met my “power man” when we got stuck on the elevator in my apartment building.  I had noticed him before, but it had always been on an elevator filled with people during the early morning “rush hour.”  When I got on the elevator late one night and saw him, my heart pumped with excitement.  We were the only ones on the elevator.  However, neither of us said a word, as we rode up in silence.  Suddenly, the elevator jerked and stopped between floors and the doors wouldn’t open.  Ordinarily, I would have panicked, but when I looked over at him, I felt safe and lucky.  When we were rescued an hour later, we were sitting on the floor talking and drinking champagne that I had bought to celebrate a promotion I’d just gotten.  The next day, he slid a note under my door that read, ‘If you like, we can go celebrate your promotion in real style tomorrow night at your favorite restaurant.’  We’ve been dating ever since.”

–Laura – “He waited on my table one morning when my friend and I were having breakfast in a restaurant we’d never been to before.  I was so struck by his looks and swagger that I went back that afternoon for lunch.  My friend, who is a practicing snob, teased me unmercifully about being attracted to a waiter.  But I was so smitten with him that I could have cared less what he did for a living.  There was something about him that drew me to him, that I couldn’t explain.  When I finished eating, I left him a big tip and my card complimenting him on the service I received.  He called two days later and invited me back to have lunch on him.  It turned out he owned the restaurant.  We are still together and that was a year ago.”
