Why It Seems Some Girls Have All The Luck

by Bonita Bennett

Have you ever wondered why some women appear to have a phenomenal success rate with men, while others don’t?  And how some women seem to avoid the emotional suffering experienced by most?  The answer is simple.  They enjoy the best relationships because of an attitude that appears to be cultivated.  To them, love is a collage of lovely thoughts, lavishly laced with affection, which weaves its way intricately into the values and principles of the individual.  The emotion of love and its counterparts does not supersede who they are and how they see themselves.  This attitude, which most men find hypnotic, is usually reflected in their spirits or the way they present themselves naturally.

These women do not travel in groups or rely on the opinions of others.  Their physical appearance usually creates interest and excitement, because of the preparation involved, yet their beauty is a composite of glamour, simplicity, and natural flair.  These women seem to work harder at putting their best foot forward and they succeed at inspiring the men in their lives to strive for their best selves. They are confident and comfortable with who they already are.  The man in their lives is by no means the center of their existence, but an enhancement to an agenda-oriented life.

These women are as Dr. Martin Luther King once said, “Tough-minded with a tender heart.”  They are not demanding, yet they understand well the art of combining submission with independence, and because of their zest for getting the most out of life, they refuse to be unhappy within the framework of their control.  They believe in teaching a man how to treat them, in a way that is usually subtle but pointed.

Most have mastered the art of mixing nonchalance with genuine interest…an action, which is known to produce an aura of mystique that few men find resistible.  The men who are usually allowed into the lives of these women are also allowed to reach certain statuses based on the merit of their actions.

Unfortunately, it seems that these women are present in the minority, but they don’t have to be.  Their numbers can increase based on the education and motivation of the majority.  As women, we cannot expect to have rewarding relationships, because we will it so.  We must be willing to cultivate our attitudes, raise our standards, and keep in mind always that we are the prize.
