Keri: “I broke up with him because he not only stared at other attractive women, but he would flirt with them in front of me.  He was so disrespectful, and he called me insecure when I reacted to his “personality.”  One night, we were at a restaurant and he began flirting with the waitress, when he left to go to the men’s room, I wrote the words, ‘Goodbye Forever! ‘ in red lipstick on his white dinner napkin, dropped in his plate and left.”

Marianne: “I broke it off with a guy I’d been dating three months after my car broke down under a viaduct in a seedy neighborhood one dark rainy night and he refused to come to my aid. I called and asked him to come to stay with me while I waited for the tow truck, and he said he didn’t go into that side of town at night. He suggested I sit in my car with the doors locked until help arrived. It took two hours for the truck to come. The next day, I went to a specialty store and had a balloon made with the words …”Real Women Hate Wimps!” and tied it to the side view mirror on his car.”

Joshua: “I was bored in our relationship and I just didn’t want to be with her anymore, but I couldn’t tell her that because she was too volatile. So, knowing how much of a sex maniac she was, I made up a lie about enrolling in seminary and that part of the process included abstinence. She wished me a happy life and hung up without saying goodbye.”

Ariel: “I had been dating this guy for over eight months when we ran into a gorgeous friend of mine at a party, and he couldn’t stop asking about her all the way home. Though he was a nice guy, I had a problem with the way he ogled attractive women around me and how defensive he would get when I mentioned it. On this night, however, he went overboard with his questions while pretending he wanted her to meet his buddy. So, I decided enough was enough. The next day, I sent him a telegram that read, “The basis of our relationship is pure and simple. I’m pure and you’re simple! This is official notice that your number has been blocked.”
