MARCEL’S – 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC (202) 296-1166. Marcel’s is an elegant French restaurant with great food, soft lighting, and sumptuous décor. Soft of pricey, but worth it if you’re trying to make a great impression. It has the most romantic atmosphere for a date in Washington, DC.

THE BLUE DOOR – 1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida (305) 674-6400. This restaurant is absolutely fabulous. Its menu is mainly French, with a Brazilian flavor, but to dine here is an unforgettable experience. You cannot go to South Beach without entering this romantic haven of classic white décor. (Everything is white, including the piano). The atmosphere is pure luxury. You need deep pockets to enter this swank joint, but everything, from the presentation of the food to the taste, makes it worth it.

SPIAGGIA’S – 980 N. Michigan, Chicago, IL (312) 280-2750. In Chicago, the major newspapers rate Spiaggia’s as the only Four-Star restaurant in the city. The menu is Italian and very good. It also has a great view of the famous Michigan Avenue, and the dark, yet the intriguing atmosphere is very romantic. Great place for a date or a proposal. Pricing not bad considering what they have to offer. One of President Obama’s favorite places when he’s in Chicago.

PELI-PELI RESTAURANT – 110 Vintage Park Blvd., Houston, TX (281) 257-9500. Peli-Peli is an upscale casual restaurant that has an illuminated sky for a ceiling. Its romantic atmosphere offers live jazz, American, fusion and eclectic food, an outdoor patio, and great seafood. Cozy, casually elegant, but pricey. Great place for a first date.

ALDO RESTAURANT – 306 South High Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 727-0700. Aldo’s is so beautiful and romantic that depending on where you sit, you might feel like you’re outside at a villa in Europe. The menu is Italian and the food is spectacular. Another great place, if you want to make a great impression.

ALEX’S – The Wynn Hotel – 3131 Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevado
(702) 248-3463. This Five Star restaurant is the only one in Vegas. It is located inside The Wynn Hotel, and it is indeed an experience. It has great food, great atmosphere, and great service. The menu is American, with a French and Italian flair. Expensive, but worth it.

ARIA’S – 490 E. Paces Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA (404) 233-7673. This exciting place is stylish, cozy and somewhat exotic. The food is southern homestyle, cooking and very distinctive. The short ribs, cooked in wine, will melt in your mouth. Great place for proposing or a first date with someone really special.
