In an effort to respond to the many letters and questions from women concerning what men pay attention to, we decided to address the subject. Our roving reporters found several voices across the country who wished to lend their comments to this popular topic..  So, in the interest of providing valuable information to the many women who seek to gain more insight into the male psych, we present…

Tom:  Chicago – “A woman’s clothes make a statement about who she is.  If she’s dressed too provocative, wears too much jewelry, too many colors, excessive make-up, etc.; it appears she’s trying too hard to be noticed.  Simplicity with flair is what I look for and when a woman is dressed like she’s trying desperately to gain attention, it detracts from her appeal.”

Douglas:  Cleveland – “I look at a woman’s confidence.  Even an unattractive woman can draw a man, like flies to a Bar-B-Que, if she projects a confidence that says, I like who I am.”

Tony: – Baton Rouge, LA – “I look to see if a woman is overdressed.  I enjoy watching women who make elegant statements in their physical presentation.  Meticulousness is important.  Missing buttons, soiled spots, chipped nail polish, and frayed collars can be distracting on the prettiest woman.”

David:  Queens, NY – “Don’t forget abut shoes.  Shoes tell a lot about a woman and inadvertently makes a statement about her sensuality.”

Russell:  Washington, DC – “I guess like most men, I have a deep appreciation for a beautiful body, but how a woman looks in her clothes is what’s essential to me. Her colors, the quality of her clothes, how well they fit her and if they are becoming.  She does not have to be thin or well proportioned if her body does not immediately reflect neglect.  I don’t mind a protruding stomach if it becomes visible after I’m charmed.  Love can overlook anything.”

Gary:  San Francisco – “I pay attention to many things, but one thing I notice quickly is how a woman sits or stands.  Her posture says a great deal abut a woman’s attitude concerning her sex.  A confident woman stands tall and straight and looks directly at you.  Yet a woman’s femininity is very much on display when she’s sitting.”

Richard: Atlanta – “I pay attention to how well a woman takes care of her body.  Appearance is everyone’s first impression and if it’s evident that one possesses a careless attitude about what people see first, then one does not get a picture of a person who is healthy mentally.  Every woman wants to be seen in a positive light as an attractive human being, but too many fail to put their best foot forward to achieve the attention they desire.”

Mark:  Dallas – “Teeth, skin, hair, weight, etc. are all things men pay attention to, but what holds our attention is the light of a woman’s soul and its ability to brighten our existence.  A woman’s clothes make a statement about who she is.  If she’s dressed too provocative, wears too much jewelry, excessive make-up, etc.; it seems she’s trying too hard to be noticed.   When a woman is dressed like she’s trying desperately to gain attention, it detracts from her appeal.”
