SingleScenes

Q. My first date after a serious breakup was a real loo-loo. She was a very attractive woman, who informed me on the way home after an expensive dinner that she didn’t date men who couldn’t help her financially. She also bluntly informed me that sex with her was not free and she wanted me to know this upfront. I ignored her comment and kept driving. When we got to her door, she got out, blew me a kiss and asked when would I see her again? I decided to be equally blunt and informed her she wouldn’t. She called the next day to apologize for her comments and explained that she had just come out of a bad relationship and that she was very bitter. I accepted her apology but made it clear that we didn’t make a match. Since then she has been calling me constantly, and I don’t know how to get rid of her.
A. Be a big boy. Block her number.
Q. If you went out on a first date with a guy who didn’t hold the door open for you, didn’t get out of his car to open the door for you to get in, drove away as soon as you got out of his car without waiting to see if you got in safely, but treated you to the most exquisite date you’ve ever been on, would you go out with him again and just overlook his poor manners?
A. Yes…but not without a verbal training manual on the way to treat a lady.
