An Inside Look
At A Club Scene

by Dani Stone

Sienna was out at the club alone one night sitting at the bar, watching a gorgeous guy move slowly through the crowd.  She studied him like a detective observing a suspect.  Their eyes met in mutual admiration, and then he looked away.  He appeared to be alone.  Immediately, she felt blocked by the guy sitting next to her, who was talking softly in her ear.  She decided to change her environment.  She wanted to move around and get a better look at the crowd.  She had only been there 30 minutes and had been indulging in a conversation with a  guy who had taken a seat while ignoring her eye language.

When she got up to excuse herself, he asked for her number, but she opted for his card instead.  He seemed nice enough, but she was out to meet someone and he wasn’t really her style.  She made it a practice to never give a guy her number, unless she was extremely interested in receiving his call.  She walked away, looking for the guy she spotted earlier, but she didn’t see him.

She decided to sit at another table, in the hope that he might pass her way again. She wanted to make sure he noticed she was alone. But before long, another guy walked up, who was reasonably attractive, and asked if he could join her and buy her a drink.  Sienna consented and they struck up an exchange, which she was enjoying until she spotted the gorgeous guy again.

This time, he passed right by her table and gave her an amused smile.  Five minutes later, she excused herself from the guy at her table with his card in hand, and a promise to call.

She decided to walk around until she bumped into the guy who had caught her eye earlier.  Just as she rounded a corner, she spotted him.  However, he was now sitting at a table talking to a very attractive woman. She decided to be bold. She walks by the table and stoops in front of it pretending she dropped something.  When she stood up, she gave him a full stare and turned away.

She then takes a seat back at the bar.  Ten minutes later, she felt a hand on her shoulder.  When she turned, there stood the guy she had been admiring all evening, and he was talking fast.  He explained that he was with someone, but he would like to get her number.

Without hesitation, Sienna gave him her card, and he promised to call the next day.  But he didn’t.  He called two weeks later.  Though she was thrilled, she vowed to never slip up again by giving her number up without an exchange.  She hated the wait and the job it did on her ego.

After all that exercise at the club, she decided to take a pass on him when he invited her to his apartment for a first date.  The last time she responded to such a request, she almost got raped.
