For many single women, there are one or more guys who have crossed their idealized paths and left indelible impressions of love, tenderness, and romance, but I know a good number of women who have also encountered enough scandalous behavior from lovers to fill a thick novel.  Here are but a few

Michael The Monster – Cindy, the mother of an eight-year-old girl, had been seeing Michael for about three months when he drugged her one night in her living room, where they were having drinks.  She passed out, and when she woke up, she found Michael in bed with her daughter, fondling her.  She went to her closet, got her gun, and ordered him out of her house at gunpoint.  When he stepped outside her door, she shot him in the foot and called the police.  Later, she found out he was a convicted child molester.

Don The Devil – Maggie had been dating Don for over two months, in what she considered an idyllic relationship until one night she went over to his house for dinner, and a woman answered the door.  She introduced herself as his cousin from out of town and sat down to have dinner with the two of them.  However, after dinner, Dan announced to Maggie that he wanted to experiment with a threesome combo, and he expected her to participate.  When she refused, he became angry. He grabbed her by the arm and threw her out the door flinging her purse out behind her.

Rick The Rogue – Sara had been seeing Rick a while when she caught him in bed with her roommate.  When she confronted them, he became belligerent and refused to leave. When he finally left, he stole her purse with over $600.00 cash in it, on his way out the door.

Johnny The Jerk – Johnny broke up with Carla by having her meet him at a local club, and introducing her to his new girlfriend, while a couple of his friends stood by laughing.  Later, she found out he’d won a $300.00 bet from his buddies because they bet him that he wouldn’t dare do what he did.  In an act of revenge, Carla spray-painted the word JERK on his white BMW convertible with red paint three days later.

Sam The Scoundrel – Sam and Elaine were on a cruise together with his best friend and his fiancee.  On the second day of the cruise, Sam disappeared from the cabin in the middle of the night after Elaine had gone to sleep.  When she woke up and found him missing, she went looking for him and discovered him on deck in a sexually compromised position with his friend’s fiancee.  She went back down to the cabin and threw all of his clothes and luggage overboard.  She slept on a deck chair each night for the remainder of the cruise. When the cruise ended, they went their separate ways and the engaged pair ended their engagement.

Sean The Swindler – Alicia had been dating Sean for two months when he proposed marriage and they began saving their money together for a Christmas wedding.  By Thanksgiving, they had over $5000.00 saved, and most of it was Alicia’s money.  One week after Thanksgiving, Sean withdrew all of the money out of the savings account and left town without a word.  Alicia hired a private investigator and discovered Sean was a bigamist, with three different wives in three different states.
